Waiting Position

My balcony was an airport today. So many birds; they kept coming and going. Little fights, too (at least it looked like that). Greenfinches, sparrows, many goldfinches, blackbirds and others I don't now or didn't get a closer look.

Happy to say there are two blackbirds - a male and a female - coming for weeks now. I can now open the door and carefully step on the balcony and they won't fly away - both of them. I talk to them and they still won't fly away. It's amazing. I've had many blackbirds in the past years, but this is a first. And both the male and the female - I wonder why. I hope they are not ill.

With the camera I followed this little one to the tree. Not very sharp because of the distance, but I like the snowy branches around it. It snowed for hours last night, but the temperature is going up now.
