Great to see my roe deer family today in the field next door. 

It was only by chance that I glanced up to the bedroom window from the breeze house which I had thought to turn into a bird hide for the winter and saw Hubs signalling. Interpreting his signals was another matter and I thought he was trying to say there were 5 deer in the field but actually he was saying there were deer at 500yds. Fair play he did do a fair impression of a deer! 

Scurrying over the field as best I could with a long lens on a tripod I squelched to the hedge opposite, insinuated myself into the hedge and hoped they would come closer. They didn't. Still lovely to see them though!
