Chatham's statue of Thomas Waghorn may have lost its cone but it has gained a mask. I wonder how his friend in Glasgow is faring.

Today I have re-hung the bubble-wrap on my windows, this time locating one thickness as close as possible to the glass and the second as far into the room as possible. I am no longer getting condensation forming on the inner sheet. Hurrah!
