Communion In The Time Of Covid

This Sunday we remembered the price Jesus paid for our sin so that we could spend eternity with Him  Some call  this service of remembrance the Lord's Supper. some call it Communion.  What we call it doesn't really matter,  the important thing is that we remember---even during this time of the pandemic---especially during this time, we need to remember that our salvation wasn't free, it's just paid for. To that end, Pat Wood, accompanied by Susan Bell ,blessed the traditional music service with a lovely long-time favorite, "He Touched Me,  Then our interim pastor, Dr. David Smith,  encouraged us to look for six things in the Lord's Supper.  He told us to look around, look up, look back , look outward, look forward and look inside.  You can hear what he said about each of those things if you go back and listen to the sermon on-line. The deacons served us in a different way than normal, to keep us all safe and healthy.    It was a bright, beautiful, joyful January morning of remembrance at FBC!
