Female Chaffinch

I have started knitting a corner-to-corner blanket, in mauve, which will take some time to complete, especially as I plan to make cardigan and hat to match.
 
Today’s picture is of a female Chaffinch which seems to be visiting regularly, we also have a male visiting, but at a different time to this one.
 
The temperature was five degrees Celsius at GMT noon.
