On the Lookout

The amber warnings of rain over the next few days prompted me to get out for a good walk. It was a bit overcast with a cool breeze on the exposed sections of the walk. The first highlight was a large (about 150) Greylag Geese grazing in one of the fields. Next I spotted a Little Owl sheltering on a pile of silage bales. Both of these were sadly out of range for photography, but whilst I paused on a bencher a drink a Kestrel landed on a nearby tree and sat for a minute or so before resuming its hunt over the golf course..
