Back Out

9am, the sun’s slowly managing to rise over the Pentlands and I’m out on the golf course with Dave for our first game of the year. Who cares how we played, how soggy it was underfoot or even how perishing cold it was when we started, we were out and about and chatting about this, that and the other, though mostly about the Jambos! But as we finished, the greens staff were lowering the club flag to half-mast, never good, and later this morning I found that a stalwart of the club and old friend of my dad had died. Used to see him in the clubhouse every week enjoying his half and a Drambuie but sadly no more. Bummer.
