Exotic Nights

Today's weather has been awful. Strong winds, rain and more rain. The weather men have named it Storm Christoph. Rather than venture outside, I decided it was time to do some indoor photography. I began by photographing a house plant, back-lit by the light from the window. Not satisfied with the result, I turned to photographing an orange in the same way. Neither could be deemed a success! In a final effort to salvage something from a mornings work I combined the two images. The blended effect took me completely by surprise. The impression created. reminded me of the moon, rising above forest in an exotic location. Far removed from our grey, stormy weather today!
