Woody' on the lawn

The common wood pigeon not so long ago was only seen feeding in open fields but for the last couple of years has been coming in ever increasing numbers in to domestic gardens.
This picture was taken yesterday, had it been today then his feet would have been in water as the rain has not stopped and the lawn is now totally under water.
