ringing the changes

finally got round to ordering a new phone at the weekend, it arrived today - it's not that thrilling, motorola razr, which has been around for ages, but i wanted flip-style and sim-free and that really cut down my choices. that's my elderly, but still working (more or less) v220, too; it'll probly go to my mum, who has the same one but it's about knackered. new one is ok so far, tho i can't send picture texts for some reason, grr.

bloody knackering night at work - short of staff, long on changes; even longer on changes for final edition - there must have been a dozen stories came out at midnight and i was subbing like a demon so i could knock off when the night ed did and scrounge a lift home! there's a lot of justifying of position and arse-covering going on at the minute, not a good time.

union meeting tomorrow, too...
