Give it a wave?

My wave today is  a birthday wave to our silver birch tree, 31 years since it was planted as a whip. 

Usually the last tree in the garden to be in full leaf in the spring and the last to loose it's leaves in the autumn.

It caught the light as the sun came up for a few minutes before more rain fell.

Is a tree's birthday abstract?
