Natural waves

The forecast today was for a dry day and I made a last minute arrangement with a friend to go for a walk across the commons.  We found some amazing lichens in one area with many different types and a lot of them fruiting.  This one has a wave shaped with a brownish red fruiting body.  I thought this macro shot made a suitable abstract for todays abstract Thursday.  Another lichen  a Cladonia species and knowns a cup lichen is in extras it also has fruiting bodies.

We had a good walk around and I was back home for lunch.  This afternoon was spent getting ready for our daughter and family who are visiting as we are part of their support bubble.
