Finally a Hellebore

I have seen Hellebore blooming for awhile in the neighborhood but mine just got its first bloom yesterday; perfect timing for a photo for Flower Friday. Thanks Anni for hosting.

When I took Tiffy to be groomed today I stopped at my regular spot to watch for the eagles. I sat there watching a pair of Canada Geese; it was so cool to see how they took turns eating while the other kept watch. When both of them turned away and looked up, so did I and I saw the pair of Bald Eagles flying out of the trees; they were warning a Hawk away from the nest area. Eventually the hawk flew off and the eagle pair soared upward together circling until they were tiny dots in the sky. Very cool. Then I came home to get my Flower Friday photo of my Hellebores. I have two different colors with one open flower on each; I chose this one because it has that pretty bud in the shot too. 

It was a pleasant sunny day today but it is supposed to freeze tonight so I need to go outside right now to cage in my tender plants. It is easy to do.......takes me about 15 minutes.
