River Derwent picnic spot

This was our picnic spot on our walk today...5 mins later, as we were eating our sandwiches, we had a snow flurry!

From our cottage we walked up to Papcastle...along a Roman road to Priest's Bridge...along Broughton Beck...back along the river Derwent...up to Papcastle, then home.

Just under 4 hours.

The cup of tea when we got home tasted marvellous!!! ( as did a piece of Ros' birthday cake! )
