Old Charley

A day inside today - jobs to do around Maison MD - one of which was to find a Blip.....
This is Old Charley, a quite rare Royal Doulton large musical Character Jug (only produced between 1938/39).  He has a Thorens Swiss musical movement that plays  'Here's a Health Unto His Majesty'. 
My Dad bought him at an auction around 1950 - and he has smiled down on us ever since.
