Doorstep birthday

Today is uncle marmoo's birthday, so this morning we sent him a video message singing Happy birthday. Chloe actually joined in singing 'birthday, birthday' and cheered when we said hip hip hooray! She'd been practicing all day yesterday.
School have started doing an online zoom meeting from today, and this morning Thomas was very excited to log on and see his classmates. Unfortunately only 3 of them logged on, but they had a good catch up and chat with their teacher, and he still enjoyed it!
Once he'd finished his schoolwork we went to morrisons and he helped choose birthday cards, gifts and cakes for uncle marmoo and uncle sam.
We baked the chocolate brownies this afternoon and then headed to see uncle marmoo complete with brownies, candle and lighter, card, balloon and booze. Thanks to lockdown it was a distanced doorstep meeting, but Chloe and Thomas loved seeing marmoo, cat and grandad. Whilst we were there some fireworks were set off over the gully, very well timed!!
