Frosted

We ventured out today, very exciting! Over to Helsington Church and a walk down to the Moss and Brigsteer Woods.
Great luck! A beautiful Barn Owl was quartering the mosses! Never seen one there before although I knew they had been spotted. This was around 3 in the afternoon so we had some lovely views.
It was very cold down there, and seemed to get colder as we climbed up the hill. At the top the ragwort stems were crusted with frosted snow flakes and looking so fragile.
Pepper was delighted with the change of scene and so were we!
