Kiwi Summer..... The Stream in the Bush....

This verdant area of bush and sparkling rocky stream is near Stilwell Bay in the Abel Tasman National Park. The stream is called “Lesson Creek”...., I have no idea why. We have had a big day. Margaret took the Sea Shuttle from Kaiteriteri to Medlands Beach near Bark Bay at 9.am. I drove to Marahau and travelled in an Aquataxi boat up the Abel Tasman coastline to Anchorage. There I met up with Margaret, who had already treked some distance including crossing the Torrent Bay estuary at near low tide. At Anchorage we visited Emily, Steve and Ian who had set up their camp for a night’s stay. Then Margaret and I walked/hiked out the 12 kms to Marahau...meeting up with friend Rachel who has joined us at Kaiteriteri for three days. We are tired but happy after our trek.
