The Pebble Frozen

In a pattern of curvy ice.

This is the first "puddle" to form whenever there is rain. Over the years it has been formed by delivery vehicles at the point of changing from reverse to first gear and turning the steering wheel from left to right.

The pebble is a permanent part of the composition. Our drive thru is as it was in 1841 when it was completed. There never was any tarmacadam finish.

It is permeable and allows water to sink into the ground.

I have great sympathy with everyone who has suffered flood damage. It is a very unpleasant experience. We have several friends who suffered badly when the River Dee burst its banks and the town of Ballater was flooded.

Building on flood plains is not a smart idea. With our "planning hats" on, we have always opposed such developments.

Slowing down water from upstream helps a lot. Tree Planting and nature agents such a Beavers also help.

Farmers are changing their methods of farming and collecting rainwater into reservoirs for irrigation purposes.

Every little helps.

The extra is Rabbit ears for play purposes. This year none of our younger friends and their parents have been able to visit.

Celebrated Mrs Dog’s birthday via FaceTime. Yes we had cocktails.
