2015-05-08 (Day 128) Clan MacRae Sheriffmuir Memo

I took this on the way home from Dublane this evening, when I elected to drive over Sheriffmuir.

Illuminated only by my car headlights, this memorial is to the Calan MacRae and to its part in the 1715 Battle of Sheriffmuir.

This 1715 battle was bloody but indecisive, amd occurred at the height of the Jacobite rebellion.
