2015-05-12 (Day 132) RFA Fort Victoria

RFA Fort Victoria is currently in the Crombie naval yard, and there is a great view of the yard from the House Of The Binns, Linlithgow.

RFA Crombie was built between 1986 and 1990 in the Harland and Wolf shipyard, Belfast. The IRA tried to destroy the ship while it was being built; their efforts slowed construction but did not prevent the ship from being launched in 1990.

This vessel is used for fleet supplies, humanitarian aid and various other tasks. From 2010 onwards, she was in the Indian Ocean to fight piracy.

And now she's in Scotland!
