Spot the dog competition.

So last night was very clear and very very cold. Darren decided he’d had enough of walking round the reservoir closest to home, it’s literally a 3 or 4 minute walk from the house. So decided to go in car to a much smaller reservoir, it’s probably less than a mile away as the crow flys but slightly further in car, but it’s only a few minutes journey. It’s a very open reservoir, no tall trees, it’s quite bleak, but Darren likes it. As it was very frosty the muddy paths weren’t muddy, which is always a bonus. We did encounter two women cold water swimming in the reservoir, they’d just got out of water as we were passing and I went to them to say hello. Darren told them they must be mad, he does say that to every cold water swimmer he meets, he’s so predictable. They spoke to Darren for a minute or two before we carried on with our walk. As it’s quite a small reservoir we always walk round it twice, which is what we did and apart from the swimmers we didn’t pass anybody.
