wild & precious life

By IrwellRiver

Too cold!

This ice-cream van didn't have any customers whilst the hot drink take-away kiosk had a very long queue!
The Tyne riverside park and pathways were very busy with walkers and families just getting out in the fresh air during this lockdown. The sun was shining but the temperature was very cold and gloves and hats were a MUST!
In the distance, you can see the Holy Cross Church spire. This church in Ryton dates back to 1220. The spire was added in 1360 and is one of only two "broach spires" in the North of England. (It's a beautiful old church and you can read more about it here on somebody's blog that I found).
The extra shows some paddle-boarders on the Tyne. I would love to give this a go.
Hope you are all having a good Sunday!
