A Carse (or Kerse) is an area of low-lying typically alluvial land. The Carse of Lecropt lies just to the north of Bridge of Allan, and this is the Kirk of Lecropt.

The church nestles beautifully among the woodland, and as the trees gradually change colour for the autumn it is a beautifully picturesque spot.
