Lochs in winter

A beautiful crisp sunny but chilly day for a walk round Gadden and Birnie Lochs - one of our favourite local walks keeping us within the latest Covid guidelines of not travelling too far for daily exercise.

The Lomond hills in the distance stood out with their snow covered peaks.

Most of the water surface was frozen over but some swans and ducks had the sense to go to part of the loch where a stream joins keeping the water moving.
