And then it was white

Did another variant of a walk around the area, going along a stretch of the Trent. It was busy by the river, but a choice of paths made it better. The river has gone down, not fully as three steps still under water. Lots of debris on the grass made it easy to see how far it had come up. There was a guy taking close ups of geese and swans and a swan came so close the guy patted its side.
Got back and half an hour later the garden was white, and got heavier. Hetty sat watching it wanting to go out. We were happy to watch in front of the fire. Repeat of yesterday with the book.
Made dumplings on stew for dinner, not mad them for years.
