Walk in the snow

The day started off very cold and frosty but by mid-morning it had started to snow and eventually the whole landscape had turned white.
This was the scene by mid afternoon as we set out on our daily walk. In the distance we could hear the excited laughter of children enjoying an unexpected afternoon of sledging down the hill behind the village..
A most enjoyable day with FaceTimes to both of my sons, their partners and my grandchildren as well as two friends.
We may be living through terrible times but occasionally it is still possible to have a jewel of a day.
