Spent too much of the day thinking about stupid and/or hateful ideologies, how and why they are started, and why people adhere to them. 

And if you come up with compassionate reasons for why people adopt these ways of thinking, be it that their self-esteem is so low they need to feel better than someone else, or they've been so hurt that their anger blocks their ability to comprehend math and risk analysis, you still haven't solved the problems. 

As you might expect, it was a cheery day so I definitely needed more of the light-hearted Last Tango in Halifax. The wind farm they keep showing is apparently real, maybe the Ovenden Moor Wind Farm. 

I did manage to complete two tedious tasks and that cheers me as well.
