Excitement!

Saw through our bedroom window that a helicopter was landing in the park (it’s very close to our local hospital), so ran down and asked the kids if they wanted to go see it take off. I have never seen Zion get his wellies on and out the back door so fast! (Allegra wasn’t interested - she gets a bit frightened by them).

As we ran to make sure we got there before it took off we realised another helicopter was approaching! And so this is the second one landing! (You can see the first in the snow haze behind the landing one).

We wandered all round and went right up close, before some crew came, got on and then we watched them take off and fly right over our heads! (I had thought there must have been an awful incident for two helicopters to come, but they seemed to take their time, and no sick people were taken off or on... So maybe just collecting paramedics, or training??)

Some extras for hindsight of this morning’s snow play - the school sensibly cancelled all calls, and just gave normal assignments, and told kids to go out a play in the snow before it melted.
