Planes

The shed obsession is over. After three days of wondering about base sizes and ridge heights, comparing wall thicknesses, cutting out shapes and sticking them on a plan of the available space, realising belatedly that the available space is not rectangular and remeasuring it with diagonals, I have ordered a shed.

Tomorrow I have to start obsessing over floor finishes, plumbing, window styles, doors and lighting. I am daunted.

In between times, it was good to go out into the sun and have two long walks, one alone and one with daughter after she finished work.

I will not be adding any human forms to my shed roof. At least, not unless Antony Gormley pops his head over the garden wall and makes an offer.
