Australia Day

Mounted police officers on their way to patrol a protest demonstration on Australia Day, January 26th. It is a very divisive day for many Australians. It is the day that Captain Cook and the First Fleet landed in Botany Bay. Australia is the only former British Colony to celebrate their National Day on the day they were invaded. Many people would like the date to be changed. Still a fun day for me.
