A ramble through the Nidd Gorge

Today we explored part of the Nidd Gorge near Knaresborough. We are familiar with the gorge closer to Harrogate, but this was the first time we have crossed this wooden footbridge.
It's strange how from time to time you stumble across new places that were almost on your doorstep. It was very quiet down there and very muddy. Across the bridge on the other side they appear to be doing a lot of footpath repairs and replacing some of the rather rickety duck-boards which form part of the path along the bank. We shall return in better weather.
