In the woods.

The snow and sleet came on as we left home. Paths were icy when we got to the woods and we opted for a more sheltered walk. Although wet it wasn’t so slippery. Nobody about. Good chat with younger son this afternoon and catch-up with our older son this evening.

U.K. Government coronavirus deaths soar through 100,000 today, (and another 1681 today, 2nd highest on record). I’ve seen this referred to as democide - perhaps not, but it’s shameful. Scotland is now very sadly 5800 deaths. The best part of 40,000 people are still in hospital in U.K; 2000 in Scotland - where no change to coronavirus restrictions was confirmed in Parliamentary session at Holyrood this afternoon. Continued dithering and delay about closing U.K. borders was raised, but it’s a Westminster matter.
