Toonie Thursday at Mt. Norquay

We've been pumped for $2 Thursday for about a month now and we booked off the day and it had arrived. We were given permission to take the company car up the windy windy road which you can see on the left part of this picture, to the entrance of Mt. Norquay Ski Resort. Tamara came with us and we got to go down a few runs with her which was nice to travel as a group, she gave us some helpful pointers and took us to the Mystic Lift for the first time.

This photo was taken at the top of the "North American" chair where the tea house NORMALLY serves tea but was closed for food and beverage because something or other was broken. To be perfectly honest, my fear of heights kicked in FULL SPEED at the top of this chair lift and the ride down was not a pleasant experience, but the view from up there was worth all the tummy rumbling.

From here you could see the whole Banff townsite, Mt. Rundle, little baby Tunnel Mountain and the great Fairholme Range off to the far left. A beautiful site!
