Aconites

Winter aconites are among the first plants to flower here. We came across this group on this afternoon's walk. Eranthis hymalis makes a great companion for snowdrops and together they make a cheery, welcome sight at this time of the year.
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday we were walking in snow but the temperature rose, we had a couple of hours rain and it has all but gone. But was picturesque while it lasted.
