Life's tangled skein

2019-05-18 (Day 138) Carnegie: the Star-Spangled

I felt rather privileged to be in the audience for a new musical this evening in the Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline. The subject of the musical was the man who gave his name to this hall, one of history's greatest philanthropists, Andrew Carnegie.

A warts-and-all analysis of the man's, this new biographical musical by Ian Hammond Brown was performed as a semi-staged concert, and showcased the musical superbly.

I wish Ian and the team every success with this show - they certainly deserve it (note that this photograph was taken before the show actually started, as members of the cast filtered gradually onto the stage ready for the overture).
