See that white dot?

That white dot (dog) in the distance is Jonty. 
He knows that path off to the right is the way home, he would not come 'This Way' when I called him, just stood there. It hadn't been a long walk but he'd been quite slow and obviously is not too keen about walks nowadays.
When I started walking away he did follow me, up to the point where I took the photograph from, and then started sniffing around the grass.
I decided to give up and went up to him and said "Ok, you just want to go home don't you" and with that he jumped up and ran back the way we'd come! That was the fastest he'd moved all morning.
After taking the path to the right I put the lead on so he didn't trot off in front of me.
He's just getting too old I think.
