Distance learning

It was a new and exciting experience to participate in distance learning. Small children learn to play violin at the computer screen, and I was worried that I would not know what to do at the lesson on 18th c. handwriting.

But I managed, and it was fun! 
I am at last learning to read the parish registers where there is information on my great great grandparents. But actually most importantly, after being over ten months shut out from the rest of the society, it was refreshing to meet new people, and converse with them. Afterwards I had a feeling that I had been away from home. :-))

This is the birth of my mother's grandfather's grandmother's mother, Catharina Matt's daughter in 1736.
