Dry aged meat

There's a new butcher in Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill. Notting Hill Fish + Meat is responding to temporary restaurant closures by selling produce directly to the consumer. Its a beautiful shop which I expected to be very expensive. It's not.

I bought a rib eye steak as a special treat. Not only was the butchery better than in my local shop but the 40 day dry ageing was excellent. Sometimes aged meat has a whiff of Stilton about it. Not here.

I highly recommend it.
