Flood

It rained hard in the night and the river was already high from the day before and from the melting snow. The river has flooded the fields, which is fine , they're flood plains, and the ditches are full too so the back road to Stratford, a bit farther on from this spot, is not doable at the moment. Fortunately there are alternatives. It's  surprising how many drivers in ordinary small cars go and attempt it though.
It's very mild today and made a pleasant walk in the sunshine.
I think the ripples are caused by the water from the ditch to the right trying to flood across the road , and the water from the river the other side running into it and creating these rather nice patterns.
