Yellow Brain Fungus.

This common jelly fungus is most often found in winter.  It is in fact a parasite which grows on a crust fungus which in turn is found on the dead branches of hardwood trees.

Shrivels up somewhat in dry weather. But there is certainly no danger of that today.
