Our daily walk took us up into Ripon for market day. Some believe there’s been some sort of market here since 924, so for more than 1000 years people have been gathering here to meet, chat, eat, drink, buy & sell. We called on Carrick’s Fish stall, a family business who have only been around for about 100 years .... but still family owned and still working from the same family base. Very friendly, great produce, great value ... and we picked up some fish pies for tea.
