Robin ( Erithacus rubecula )

A while ago I mentioned that I was trying to get a shot of the Robin on the feeders as they are normally ground feeding birds.  As you can see I finally managed a shot.  We have recently placed a new feeder where I can easily see it from the computer.

If anybody is considering a new feeder I can thoroughly recommend this model.  It is a Jacobi-jayne Pro Ring Pull.  Why do I like it so much?  Firstly it is so simple to take apart and clean.  One pull on a ring and it comes apart.  Keeping feeders well cleaned is necessary to prevent the spread of disease.   It is metal and the plastic is stronger than any other model we have had.
