Plodding

I guessed right that there would still be plenty of snow in the hills, despite the thaw during the week, but I was wrong in hoping that the surface would have frozen enough overnight to run on the crust.

I did a minor round of Baddinsgill Reservoir via Mount Maw and Grain Heads (pictured) with Django. However, every step - but for a few magical ones! - broke through into 20cm of soft snow, so the only running I got done was on the descents. Still, it was good exercise, and I was on untrodden snow much of the time.

Django dropped a long way behind me at one point, and later I found out that he'd spotted two of A's friends and decided to stop to say hello!
