Aztec dancers

Dancers in colorful tradional dress perform a ceremonial dance. The great Aztec city of Tenochtitlán was located on this site when the conquistadors arrived. Led by Cortés, they eventually destroyed the city and built their own on top of it. The Municipal Cathedral is in the background, and in front of that is an enormous plaza, second in size only to Red Square in Moscow.
