Collies in the rain

Have you ever seen such pictures of misery? I dragged myself out, despite the torrential rain, because I thought the dogs deserved a walk. Instead of being grateful, they acted as though every minute away from the fire was a torture. I kept reminding them they were farm collies, and needed to toughen up. However, they both went into rescue because they were "failed" sheepdogs. I am guessing their refusal to go out in unpleasant weather may have had something to do with it their rejection.
