Big Garden Birdwatch

Did the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch (despite not having a garden - I watched the space outside my kitchen window). Unfortunately not many birds turned up. A week or so ago a couple of workmen from the council turned up and cut down the bushes out the back of my flat. That bush used to be full of birds. They would hide in the bush before making an attempt on my neighbour's bird feeder and just generally hang out in it. Since the bush has gone I've seen far fewer birds. And today's birdwatch confirmed my earlier observations. Plus it was the curse of the Birdwatch - the birds just seem to know when you're doing the birdwatch and disappear for the hour!

I did, however, see a squirrel burying a peanut (see extra)!
