Today we walked past the pond with the goldfish in and caught the bus into to town and went to toys R us. And they had NO WOODYS (incidentally, if you ask the nut if he'd like to buy a woody doll with his birthday money he says NO. Because WOODY IS NOT A DOLL) we looked at the other toys but his heart was set; not even the most giant of angry bird cuddly toys would sway him. I didn't get him one for his birthday in case it was a passing thing because they are bloody expensive (yes, I know, doll hypocrite) but I misunderstood the sincerity of his request.

So we went to tescos and they were £9 off. Hurrah! He also found all three toy story DVDs for slightly more than the internet, and used his pouty face to make sure they came home with us too.

we retreated to the local coffeehaus to Debx the cowboy. The nut managed to say the word 'woody' at least six thousand times on the way home, partly because of his brand new 'woody' song (which almost exclusively features the word woody) still it makes a change from the 'going home song' (which only has 3 words, I think you can figure them out). Then he showed the pond fish his new toy on the way home. Watching him carry woody by his arm walking home was the most delightful thing, just like the movie. And then he introduced him to buzz and played all day while watching his DVDs. Though his version inexplicably featured a giant squid and a monkey.

The film could have benefitted from those characters.
