Galette des Rois

"Cake of the Kings", with a filling of marzipan and a delicate crust, eaten every January in France to commemorate the Epiphany. There  it contains a colorful ceramic token (the feve); the diner who finds it gets to wear the paper crown that comes with with it and become king (or queen) for the day. .  Marylee's galette didn't have any of these accountrements, but was delicious even so  :)

A northeasterly blizzard is approaching us along the Atlantic coast;  it will
probably start mid-morning tomorrow and drop over a foot of snow. Stay tuned.
