Gimme A Break

A dull grey day. Yesterday I made some shortbread dough and chilled it overnight so I sliced it and baked the cookies this morning, which made the house smell good. I also made a batch of pierogi, with mixed success. I guess the proof will be in the eating, which will be soon. Dough is a funny thing. One time it’ll be fabulous, another it will go sticky and strange.

Update: the pierogi cooked up nice and tasted just fine. I haven’t made them enough to know how to roll with it. I guess the message is just keep going and it will turn into food...
